Eventy

Monday:
Went to lip's house for his birthday errr...dinner? Some people decide to go cut hair, so we make a detour to Bukit Timah Plaza. For reason that escapes my comprehension, feesh decides to get a shave!

B&M Lesson for the day

Business isn't just about the running of a bussiness. Its about brand imaging and stuff too. Brand imaging is defined by the way the company presents itself to the customers. Such examples are a logo or a slogan. Just how important is brand imaging? Lets see, shall we?
Lets say we run a company called 'JM Ice' that delivers pack ice to drink stall owners. We deliver quality goods on time, thus we build up our reputation for good service. Our logo is the chinese word for 'ice' with the letters 'JM Ice' in blue below. All right, seems fair enough.
Now how about our slogan? Using our top creative designers, we come up with the slogan 'There's always a better service!'. Sounds good right? This slogan says that our company beats all other companies in terms of service, thus emphasizing our strength. NOOOO!!! WRONG!!! WTF WERE THEY THINKING?!?! The last time I checked, slogans were meant to work FOR the company, not AGAINST it. Nice 'There's always a better service!', AKA 'There's always a service better than ours!'.
That concludes today's lesson. Remember kids, always think before coming up with a company slogan.

Goodbye Kitty

Dinner with family at California Pizza Kitchen! Usual meal, pizza and a milkshake. I felt I could eat a little more, so I ordered a sundae. What I thought to be a cup of sundae turned out to be a GOBLET of sundae. With a giant serving of whipped cream on the top. Said sundae was painstakingly finished in the end.

Went clothing shopping with dad after dinner. I finally found a pair of pants that I like in far east plaza, but someone else koped it before me... T_T Guess I'll be going back another day for it..
Next stop at Heeren. Love the t-shirt texts.

I fell asleep through the whole night on my couch! Interesting, it was more comfortable than I imagined. The temperature in the morning was too low for my liking though..hate waking up and freezing to death. :(

Boredom fills this saturday for some reason. I'm jumping from battle.net, to facebook, to entropia and all over again. And its all just so sian.....T_T

What we always do

So we decide to have a outing for our taiwanese friend Alan, which in the end turned out to be another of our class outings. I had a crappy table at pool where the ball could end up at the rail and then start rolling along it. =S I missed the most of the lunch at Sakae since I went for class, but when I came back, there seemed to be some juicy stuff going on between Gareth and Alyssha......
made a final stop at Kino where we did everything except buy a book. Everything includes chasing Jeanette and her psp, shooting rubber bands at each other, and making comments about what Buddha should say.

Agonies of Life

The right side of my mouth has been aching all day. I come back home and I get a headache. Ow..

Went for co-op duty for the first time this year! We finally got rid of the old cash register and replaced it with a computerised one! Our barcode scanner will own you allllll.. :P Speaking of computers, the cash register comes with minesweeper and the likes too. I should try charging items at the price of my pinball score next time.
Helped Ms Law transport some CNY stuff from the estate office. For all those who haven't felt the glory yet, the interior of the estate office contains 3 of the softest, SqUiShEsT sofas eva! Quoting one of my juniors: "This sofa is like quicksand. Once you sit down, you can't get up." The whole area is carpeted, and theres even a spiral staircase leading up to the general office. Every 3 metres, theres a painting hanging from the wall. Where did the school building funds go to?
