Downfall of Music

Turn on your radio and fill your head with all sorts of shit music. Now, I'm not saying that all music is crap.. just 90% of it. Its either endless repetitions of the same phrase which gets on my nerves after some time, or the lyrics that a 5 year old could write, or that the song just doesn't have any tune to it. Perhaps these days, the music industry is way too saturated, and artists just make a song from whatever pops up in their heads, and hope it sells well. It reminds me of homework.. where when you keep getting more and more and can't keep up with the flow, in order to get it over and done with, you do a just-on-par job and submit it to the teacher. Of course, we don't have much interest in homework. But for music, artists became artists because of their love for music, right? So why the poor quality of work? If you love what you're doing, you should at least take some pride in doing it. Making bad music is one thing. Marketing it to the public and have them listen to it is another.
