Guess whos still here..

Wahaha! Internet at da hotel! Miss me?

Day 1

Wake up sleepsily, get to Changi Airport terminal 3.

The infamous toilet fly in Changi Airport.

Close-up.

Flight NH-6252/SQ-12 to Tokyo, Japan

:D

So up the plane we goooo...

The nubby plane =/

ph33r my ph0t0graphy sk33lz

After 7 hours of agony and boredom on the plane, the arrival at Narita International Airport (not really boring.. had a nice DS with many many nice games)! Temperature is 14 degrees celcius! In June! wtfz! Global cooling ftl!

One of the million travelators in the airport. Notice the nub policeman on the left.

All the signs except the Japanese one says "Welcome to Japan". The Japanese one says "Welcome back". Apparently they assume the only people who understand Japanese is from Japan..

Thats the guy doing the quarantine job at the airport. He looks lonely, bored, sad. Who wouldn't, having a job that just requires you to stand in front of a table, looking like an idiot?

"No photos" O.o

Notice 'Use at your own risk". Then, notice picture 2. Finally, notice irony.

Many pplz

A stupid hotdog: "Eat me!"

Its basically a kid's meal. You know Macdonalds, where they have Happy Meals? In Japan, its called Happy Set. "One happy setto please!" =S (This isn't a pic of Mac's menu. I'll go find one in the next few days.)

The limousine bus from the airport to the hotel took 90 minutes. Mitsui Garden Hotel Premier Ginza. S$370 per night. Luckily my mum's company is paying for it.
Japanese people sleep anywhere. Buses, trains, streets, stations, home... its all the same.

Smile for the camera!

Zoom in...

Zuuuuuumm in........

The hotel, despite having room rates over the roof, is awfully small. But you can't really expect anything else, since its in Ginza after all. Anywhere else, you own the land. In Ginza, the land owns you. No pics of the room since I forgot to take some and now I can't be bothered to take more pics.. maybe tomorrow.

Ginzaaaaa

Going out for dinner, we somehow ended up in this place called Lion Beer.. uhh... cafe, I think. Cigarettes and beer owned the place. My mum ended up being the one having to interact with the JAPANESE waiters. I shall not describe the event.

Japanese salarymen having their daily dose of guy bonding and alcohol.

The first significant instance of Japanese English I found.

Thats all for today! Tomorrow's events will be flea market trips to Hanazono temple and Sensoji temple, followed by an onsen trip to the Asakusa Kannon Onsen, and finally, Harajuku!

Does this even need a title?

Clarke Quay has as much (not 'many') bars as Japan has porn.

1:07 AM

"Pornography is the third leg of the Iron Triangle: anime/manga/porn. Based on my completely biased and unscientific observations, I'd say manga is the biggest seller, followed by porn, and then anime. Why do I say this? Because the amount of people I see in an anime store does not even compare to the amount of people I see in a hentai manga/doujinshi store. Until you see, you will not believe. Even if you see and still not believe, then fuck you."
- some Cheap Bastard

"Isn't it awfully nice to have a penis?
Isn't it frightfully good to have a dong?
It's swell to have a stiffy.
It's divine to own a dick,
From the tiniest little tadger
To the world's biggest prick.
So, three cheers for your Willy or John Thomas.
Hooray for your one-eyed trouser snake,
Your piece of pork, your wife's best friend,
Your Percy, or your cock.
You can wrap it up in ribbons.
You can slip it in your sock,
But don't take it out in public,
Or they will stick you in the dock,
And you won't come back."
- Monty Python

Mystbusters

1. Citylink toilet stories are true. 'nuff said.

2. UFO catchers in Suntec City have no grip at all. Applies for big and small machines. The claws just slide past the toy, no resistance at all.

Whats your opinion?

S&M: painfully boring
Necrophilia: dead boring
Incest: relatively boring
Pedophilia: a little boring

There was an old miner named Dave,
Who kept a dead whore in his cave.
You have to admit,
He hadn't much wit,
But look at the money he saved!
-------------
Dead boring also describes my current CAS activity: sitting and taking care of an art exhibition. Basically, its an activity where you literally do nothing in order to get hours. Good thing I have my good friend DS with me to pass the time.

Nothing to say.. nothing to do..

ugh.. whatever... owning people at Vampirism is fun.. sneaksyness and deception.. hmm..

Weapons are fun.. they look so nice.. chop chop.. I'll just put up some of the ones I've already finished..

My wish-to-do list would be, in no particular order..
Keyblade (any kind), Kingdom Hearts
Mugen, D.Gray-Man
Tensa Zangetsu, Bleach [REMAKE]
Energy Sword, Halo [REMAKE]
Buster Sword, FF7
First Tsurugi, FF7AC
Twin Blades of Azzinoth, Warcraft [REMAKE.. the first ones were horribly ugly]

How I wish I had the time.. school work screwed me up so much I don't feel like doing anything right now. That'd be fine for now, except I have a business IA due in a week..

-______-

Depressing... they wouldn't let me go. Its for band members only. The japanese authorities don't want anyone else not from the band. But it looks like it was the band teachers, directors and school who made the decision. Either way, seems like I'm not wanted on this..

I did somewhat forsee this, even though I was always hoping for the better outcome. Wanting to join the band on the trip even though I had no relations.. plus with all the hype on this trip, major/media/first time concert/etc, and japanese custom of 'doing everything according to the book', I guess my presence counted as something out of the book. They wouldn't want to risk me being there. Sacrifice for the greater good, I suppose.

Reminds me of all those anime where the village sacrifices a kid to the gods for good harvests, rain and all those stuff. They take the kid away from the parents, saying its for the greater good. I wouldn't compare the extents of both of them together though.. its just what comes to my mind when I think of the situation right now. 'You're just a tiny piece, look at the big picture here', quotes my mind. Where the individual gets drowned out by the higher-ups. Well, good luck to the band then. Wouldn't be seeing them off either.

At least I'll still be going to Japan these hols. Just not with the band. 6 days in Japan prime area. Just, without the company and friends, thats all. The trip is great, which I'm grateful for. I just wonder how fun it'll be for me though..

o.O

Coolest pic ever.

and... words don't describe this juxtaposition. I don't care if the girl isn't from our school. The mere thought of putting these two together, much more with them smiling, is unthinkable.

Goldfish?!

Is Japan trip doomed to fail? Apparently *someone* doesn't want to reply to my messages, so I'll try asking the band teacher directly instead.. hope I get better results!

And as requested by Eanette, here are some pics to satisfy her fanmster thirst.

Some anime fans may recognise this pose.. sorta..
