Orchard Road Charities

They're everywhere, and always there. Salvation army, flag day(s), and the all-too-ubiquitous buskers. Not too much about the buskers though.. I think I wrote about a few of them quite some moons ago, haha.

Shops aren't the only ones taking advantage of the festivities here, thats for sure. The influx of volunteers and charity workers is stifling, to say the least. Yes, its the season for giving, but isn't this much too much? This is just a weekday, but the number of solicitors is comparable to that on a regular weekend. Imagine the crowd on Christmas day itself, with the roads being closed and whatnot. Pedestrian pandemonium.. donation dystopia..?

The worst part of it is having to pass by multiple solicitors, each of them looking for donations, and each one of them you have to politely reject, or act blur or busy to avoid their advances. Sooner or later, you start feeling guilty for not donating, especially with Christmas coming up. Is this a crafty scheme to get you digging into your pockets, or am I just thinking too much into it?
